Code of conduct

WeCamp is an event where people are taken out of their comfort zone and invited to learn, teach, think and participate in a group of attendees. Because of this people may feel even more vulnerable compared to other tech events. To ensure everyone can feel comfortable on the island, all attendees, coaches and staff should adhere to this code of conduct.

We expect every attendee, coach and staff member to:

  • Always be respectful and empathetic towards everyone on the island
  • Not discriminate based on gender, race, sexual orientation or anything else
  • Understand and respect that we are all different and that viewpoints of others may be different from ours
  • Refrain from any form of harassment or aggressive behaviour

In case of problems, please contact a member of the crew. Crew members will be clearly identified to all attendees at the start of the event. In the main tent there is a black board that contains the phone number of the emergency contact, and in the booklet you receive when you enter the island you'll also find emergency contact information. Do not feel uncomfortable to approach the emergency contact, this is exactly what that person is for.
