Sometimes we get questions. We can answer questions. But when we get questions more than once, we'd rather answer them directly. We'll do that here. If you have a question that is not listed here, contact us: email@example.com.
message How does the waiting list work?
We are keeping a waiting list for people that want to come but that missed the ticket sales. People who want to be on the waiting list: send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If someone can not make it anymore, they can contact us through email@example.com. We will put the selling party in touch with the first person on the waiting list. Please note: It is up to the buyer and seller to arrange the sale, we are not involved in the actual transaction. We will facilitate a name change if the buyer and seller have made all arrangements.
message What is included in the price?
The prices includes travel from the Biddinghuizen port to the island (and back on Saturday), food for 5 days, drinks for 5 days, a bed in one of the tents and access to the event including all social events.
message Such a great holiday idea!
That is not a question! Also, WeCamp is not a holiday. We aim for every attendee to learn from this event. A lot. Not just about technology, but also about planning, social skills, presentation, marketing. Everything!
message I am not a PHP developer, can I come?
Sure! Although we focus mainly on PHP, if you are a designer, frontender or other developer, you could still learn a lot. About PHP, but also about soft skills, planning, marketing, presentation, teamwork etc. It is up to you to decide whether this will be useful to you, but we really think it could be useful.
message Should I bring my own tent/sleeping bag/pillow?
No! The island has tents, beds (yes, real beds) and everything provided for you. Do bring your own laptop, clothes, toothbrush though.
message I have a special diet, what is possible?
Drop us an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org. We can't promise anything, but we'll try to cater to special needs as much as we possibly can.
message How is the tent assignment done?
Tent assignment is done nearly randomly. We will have separate female and male tents, but aside from that, you may be put into a tent with a random set of attendees.
message What do I do in case of problems?
Always contact the staff! All staff will be clearly identified at the start of the event and there will always be at least one member of staff available immediately.
